Follow the energy

One of the ways in which I have learned to measure the effectiveness of coaching conversations is by reference to the level of energy being produced and manifested within the work.

It is often the case that an individual has a clear idea of their goals and objectives plus a desire for change and achievement, but can struggle to find the energy to drive it.

What I have learnt to do in my work is to pick up on a talent for locating and following the individuals’ energy resources.   My coaching conversations firstly locate the necessary energy reserves, and then work to establish an ongoing conduit between the coachees’ business objectives and that energy.
